Stephanie Young

Stephanie Young is founding co-editor, with David Horton, of the Deep Oakland web project. She edited BAY POETICS (Faux Press, 2006), an anthology of writing from 110 bay area writers, and her books of poetry are Telling the Future Off (Tougher Disguises Press, 2005) and Picture Palace (in girum imus nocte et consumimur igni, 2008). Stephanie lives and works in Oakland, at Mills College, where she coordinates the English Graduate Program, teaches poetry, and curated and produced the James Irvine-funded performance and lecture series ACT ART in 2004. She also hosted a series of readings and performances at her home in Oakland for several years, and served on the board of Small Press Traffic from 2003-08.
